Two Great Cities – One Great Ride!

A New Annual Tradition! Sunday September 15th, 2024

Help us celebrate everything that makes Minnesota and the Twin Cities a top bicycling destination!
Ranked 5th nationally and #1 IN THE MIDWEST for bicycle friendliness by the League of American Bicyclists, Minnesota is the place to be for cycling enthusiasts. Nowhere showcases this better than the Twin Cities! Our inaugural Twin Cities Bicycle Tour will roll every September! Be a part of this exciting cycling event, destined to be a celebration of the trails and communities that fuel thriving bicycling culture. The TCBT aims to unite neighbors, coworkers, family, friends with community organizations, local and national businesses, in a joyous celebration of biking and community.

We plan to offer routes ranging from 6.5 miles to 45 miles and many inbetween! Whether you’re new to bicycling or ride everyday we’re confident that our routes will be fun for all. Riders from across the state will flock to this annual event, drawn by the variety of routes that feature the stunning contrast between natural and urban landscapes of this area, and the unbeatable value!

  • Highlighting what makes the Twin Cities a great place to Ride!

We’re rolling out the red carpet (err, bike trails?) for all the clubs, teams, individuals that make for a great bicycling culture. WE WANT YOU to be part of the TCBT. Connect with us at info@bikemn.org if you’re interested in helping at a rest stop, promoting your club, sponsorship, group rates and more!

  • Your registration benefits bicycle and pedestrian advocacy across the state!

By registering for the Twin Cities Bike Tour, you directly contribute to BikeMN’s statewide efforts in promoting active transportation. Our dedicated chapters, fueled by hardworking volunteers, are making incredible strides in improving walkability and bikeability in communities across Minnesota. Your registration and sponsorship dollars not only support these initiatives but also fuel additional programs and projects aimed at enhancing our state’s bicycling infrastructure. The ride benefits the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit – federal tax ID number is 41-1719332). Thank you for your support!

  • All bikes welcome!

All e-bikes as outlined in the Minnesota definition of e-bikes in Class I, II, or III are welcome to join BikeMN rides (we do not provide charging along the route so make sure you select the route suitable for your battery life). Analog bicycles, adaptive bikes, tandems, recumbents, tricycles, cargo bikes, burley style kid trailers, even well behaved (and leashed) pets are welcome! We encourage you to be familiar with your bicycle in advance of the ride too and practice riding with larger groups.
