Local Advocacy Groups

BikeMN Chapters, Committees and Local Organizations

While most of BikeMN’s advocacy is done at the state level, we believe local politics and grassroots advocacy are some of the greatest tools to enact bicycle-friendly changes. The work that is done at the level of region, county, park district, city or neighborhoods is just as important as the high-level issues that we work on every day. Luckily, the city-level bicycle advocacy movement in Minnesota is strong and growing.

BikeMN doesn’t directly weigh in on most municipal issues; instead we empower local advocates to speak up for the needs in their own communities. This list represents many of the local Minnesota bicycling advocacy groups. If your group is not shown here, please send us an email with your contact information and we will add you to the list. If you want assistance in starting a new group, please contact us!

BikeMN Chapters

BikeMN Chapters have a formal relationship with BikeMN, and members can opt-in to share their membership dues with chapters to support work in local communities. There are currently ten BikeMN chapters and always more in the works! Click the logos to learn more about each chapter or click here and select a desired chapter to have a portion of your membership contribution be dedicated to.

Your contribution to a BikeMN Chapter funds hyperlocal biking and walking advocacy efforts, infrastructure, events and more around Minnesota.
