Benefits of Bicycling for Youth
Youth Learn 2 Ride isn’t just about selling youth bike lessons — it’s about understanding that research shows biking is essential for youth because it fosters physical health, mental well-being, and independence, and builds confidence and motor skills. It offers a fun, sustainable way to exercise, enhancing cardiovascular fitness and coordination, while also serving as a valuable social activity that boosts mental health, reduces anxiety, and encourages screen-free outdoor play.
“I love to ride now! It was kind of scary at first, but now I don’t need training wheels and can go fast.” – Martina (8 year old YL2R student)
