Join us to celebrate the great trail network that meanders around Minnesota’s third largest city!
NEW for 2026 – Addition of the 50 Mile Rotary Ramble Ride!
Thanks to our partnership with The Rotary Club of Rochester we’re expanding our route options by adding a 50 mile tour of the Northeast Rochester area that includes a cruise on the Great River Ridge State Trail and visits to the towns of Viola, Elgin, and Plainview! Don’t worry if 50 miles isn’t your idea of a good time we’re still offering the classic 15 and 25 mile Meanders!

FREE Kid Friendly Obstacle Course at the Start
Thanks to our friends at Olmstead County expect an area just for Meandering Kiddos to navigate. This has been a HUGE hit every year! No need to register – just show up and cruise the course! Join the after party at Little Thistle after the obstacle course wraps up and join up with the rest of the family who may be riding the full Meander course!

Routes are all on paved trails
The MCM features two signature relaxed tour options and 50+ mile route that’ll appeal to the faster more adventurous crowd. The main two routes brings riders along Rochester’s ‘meandering’ trail system highlighting what makes the “Med City” a dynamic and vibrant community. The Rochester Rotary Ramble will take riders off the beaten path to the northeast area of Rochester for rolling hills and picturesque farmland scenery with a visit to Elgin or Hammond Minnesota. From tree canopied riverside paths to gentle Driftless bluffs, each route features great rest stops all along the way!
#1 – The 15 mile loop visits the premier Peace Plaza Rest Stop and the heads back towards the after party finish at Little Thistle Brewing right off the trail!
#2 – The 25+ mile adds one additional rest stop at Silver Lake Firestation after Peace Plaza rejoining the 15 mile riders at Little Thistle Brewing at the finish.
#3 – The 50+ mile The Rochester Rotary Ramble starts and ends at the Silver Lake Fire Station rest stop.
North and South Trails, Cascade Creek, Bear Creek, and more! Rochester offers a vast network of trails and bike lanes. Check out some of them on the City of Rochester’s Parks and Recreation page or We Bike Rochester’s route library.
Volunteer and Get Involved
Folks across the state volunteer for the ride to make the MCM happen. If you live in the Rochester area and want to learn more about local efforts to improve biking and walking in the region all year long then join the We Bike Rochester mailing list and learn more here.
All Bikes Welcome!
All e-bikes as outlined in the Minnesota definition of e-bikes in Class I, II, or III are welcome to join BikeMN rides (we do not provide charging along the route so make sure you select the route suitable for your battery life). Analog bicycles, adaptive bikes, tandems, recumbents, tricycles, cargo bikes, burley style kid trailers, even well behaved (and leashed) pets are welcome! We encourage you to be familiar with your bicycle in advance of the ride too and practice riding with larger groups.
