Why Albert Lea Rocks!
Rock-n-Roll the Lakes is a fun, family-friendly bike ride in Albert Lea, Minnesota, inviting cyclists of all ages to cruise scenic routes along some of the area’s lakes and through the countryside.
Hosted by the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota and Albert Lea Area Cyclists, the event features three route options and rest stops with food.
Participants can expect a welcoming atmosphere, picturesque views, and a well-supported ride for all skill levels.
Routes and More: NEW FOR 2026!
The routes start and end at Central Park in Albert Lea, MN. Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 a.m. If you are riding the 44-mile route, please start no later than 9:00 a.m. Courses are designed to offer the most scenic and pleasant routes. Riders enjoy food and drink at rest stops on each course.
· For 2026 there are three route options due to construction issues; a 10, 36 or 44 mile route. The 36-mile and 44 mile routes overlap each other until 283rd St in which the 36 mile heads west and the 44 mile route continues north.
Helmets are required: Protect your melon! Safe cycling to all Rock-n-Roll the Lakes riders!
Day of registration is available at Central Park – Marion Ross St, Albert Lea, MN 56007 8am-10am but save big by registering in advance!


Disclaimer: Rock-n-Roll the Lakes is a fundraiser for the Albert Lea Area Cyclists and the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota. All fees are non-refundable. Registration transfers are not available. This ride is a rain-or-shine event.

Friday night prior to the event we do a short “glow ride” around Fountain lake at dusk, open & welcome to all.

Recommended Lodging Options
Both Country Inn & Suites, Comfort Inn have a block of discounted rooms available until July 1. Camping is also available nearby at Myre-Big Island State Park.
