Bird Bike Safari

Celebrate urban birds with a bike safari along the Mississippi!

Keep your eyes and ears open for signs of our avian neighbors as we ride our bicycles along the river. We’ll make stops along the way to observe birds as the last of our neighbors migrate back to us. Get birdwatching tips and learn about the birds we see from members of the Urban Bird Collective. Will we spy some sparrows? Glimpse a grackle? Hear any hawks? Let’s find out together!

We’ll bring the binoculars, you bring the bicycle!

The bike ride will begin and end at Harriet Island and include up to 11 miles of relaxed biking on relatively flat, paved trails. Participants must supply their own bicycle and helmet that they wear while riding.
