Mountain Bike Season Opener

Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) and the City of Minnetonka are pleased to announce the Second Annual Lone Lake Park Season Opener event to be held at Lone Lake Park (5624 Shady Oak Road in Minnetonka) on Saturday, May 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

This mountain biking-centered event will feature activities and fun for the whole family and will provide an excellent way to kick off the off-road cycling season. There will be group rides, opportunities to demo new mountain bikes, skills development courses, bike safety checks, and a very fun bike scavenger hunt event geared to riders of all ages. All are welcome to this event and riders of all skill levels will find opportunities to take their riding to the next level.

At the MORC tent, attendees will be able to pick up limited-edition stickers, speak to the Lone Lake Park Singletrack trail crews, and learn about the organization and how to get involved and join. MORC President Jason Tufty commented, “We are super excited to be co-hosting this event with the City of Minnetonka. It will give our community of riders a chance to celebrate the start of dirt season and build confidence with their skills in a safe and supportive atmosphere.”
