Wheelie Fun Community Bike Ride
Celebrate Bike Month with the Wheelie Fun Community Bike Ride Friday, May 19, at 3:30 p.m. This family friendly, all ages and abilities group ride will meet at Aquila Park playground, 3110 Xylon Ave. S., then travel the Cedar Lake Trail and end at Dakota Park, for a ride of about 1.8 miles. The whole ride will be on the trail and will be a great opportunity to safely explore a bit of St. Louis Park by bike, whether it’s your first time or your first ride of the season. Popsicles will be provided at Dakota Park to participants.
The ride will be led by St. Louis Park Environment and Sustainability Commission members and sustainability staff. Contact Annie Pottorff, sustainability specialist, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 952.948.1418 with any questions.
At Dakota Park, you can choose to continue your ride independently along the Dakota-Edgewood bikeway and trail bridge. Completed in late 2021, the Dakota-Edgewood bikeway and trail bridge is part of the city’s Connect the Pak plan designed to make it easier for people to move around the city and region without a single-occupancy vehicle. The bikeway and trail bridge provides a north-south pedestrian and bike connection through the middle of St. Louis Park.
