iBikeMN Challenge & E-bike Commuter Assistance Program

BikeMN has two great initiatives to assist people and businesses who want to bike more!

iBikeMN Challenge

Replace one car trip per week with a bike ride, have fun and win prizes!

The iBikeMN Challenge is here to inspire you to ditch the car and take a bike once a week. Driving less and biking more is great for your health and for the environment—and it’s fun! Now, we’re making it even more motivating with challenges and prizes, all season long.

How it works:

  • Download the iBikeMN app – track your rides and miles
  • Swap one car trip per week for a bike ride – it can be a commute, an errand, or just for fun (and e-bikes and manual bikes both count!)
  • Join challenges – complete fun biking goals for a chance to win prizes
  • Track your progress and celebrate wins – see your impact and be part of the biking community

Download the iBikeMN app:

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for challenges, biking tips and tricks, and events all season long. There will be tons of chances to win prizes and connect with other cyclists!

Why participate?

  • Improve your health! Biking is great for your physical and mental health and reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other health issues.
  • Protect the environment! Biking instead of driving cuts emissions, improves air quality, and reduces traffic congestion.
  • Save money! Save on gas, parking, and car maintenance.
  • Win prizes! Participate in challenges for a chance to win bike gear, gift cards, and more.
  • Have fun! Biking is fun, whether you’re solo or in a group. Let’s make the most of our gorgeous biking season by getting out to enjoy it!

E-Bike Commuter Assistance Program

This initiative is designed to help the participants from a number of partner businesses and organizations gain experience and confidence utilizing the BikeMN e-bike fleets. This is an exciting new chapter of our education offerings in our evolving efforts to ensure that all Minnesotans have access to information and resources so that walking, biking, and rolling anywhere in the state is easy, safe and fun.

Thanks to the Metropolitan Council for helping people drive less and bike more through the iBikeMN Challenge and E-bike Commuter Assistance Program.
