[SAINT PAUL, MN] – 13 new Minnesota companies have been recognized as Bicycle Friendly Businesses (BFBs) by the League of American Bicyclists (LAB). Minnesota, the third most bicycle-friendly state in the U.S., now boasts 105 BFBs.
“Food, beer, and the good ol’ summertime lake life pair well with bicycling! Strong local bike culture means business in towns big and small across Minnesota, including Hackensack, Fergus Falls, Walker, and Wabasha with this round of award-winning businesses.” Natalie Gille, Greater Minnesota Program Manager
Six of Minnesota’s 13 new Bicycle Friendly Businesses are located in Walker, Minnesota, bringing the town total to 17 Bicycle Friendly Businesses. The community of Walker has earned a Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community award from the League of American Bicyclists. Congratulations to The Piggy BBQ, Pederson Family Dental, Next Innovations, Walker Hotel, Wilbur’s on Walker Bay Bar & Eatery, and Hiawatha Beach Resort.
Bikes are good for businesses and their employees.
