Imagine 6th Avenue North
Imagine 6th Avenue North: Mobile Museum Pop-up and Park Party
Sunday, May 15th | 1PM – 4PM | Harrison Park
Before Olson Memorial Highway was built, North Minneapolis was home to a thriving business corridor known as 6th Avenue North. The community had easy access to grocery stores, shopping, barber shops, entertainment, and more. Today, that all is gone and we are left with a highway cutting through our neighborhoods… The story doesn’t end there: we can still address the past harms and create a better future for North Minneapolis. This event is an interactive space for you to discover the history of 6th Avenue North and envision a future through Bring Back 6th.
