Timberman Triathlon

The Timberman is held on the grounds of Sugar Lake Lodge. Sugar Lake Lodge is one of Minnesota’s premier destination golf course resorts, a resort for family gatherings and a collaborative leadership center.

Race DistancesOlympic: 1760 yards/1 mile swim, 25 mile bike, 6 mile run 
Sprint: 587 yards,  11 mile bike, 3 mile run 
Super Sprint: 264 yards, 5.5 mile bike, 1.5 mile run 

TeamsTeams (2 or 3 person) can participate in the Olympic and Sprint races. The Super Sprint race is for individuals only. 

TimingThe event is chip timed by Pickle Events. 

USAT 
The Timberman is a USAT sanctioned race. A USAT official will be monitoring the course. EVERY athlete needs to bring a valid ID in order to pick up his/her packet. USAT members need to provide their membership card at packet pickup. Packets have to be picked up by the race participant. If you are a minor (age 17 and under), a parent/legal guardian needs to  accompany you to packet pickup and be onsite during race day, this applies to individuals and team members.
Participants need to either have a 1-day license or annual license. 1-day membership prices:     Adult 18+: $15.00         Youth 17 & under: $10.00Annual licenses are not available at the race. Visit USAT’s membership page for more information.
Friday, July 8, 2022 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm Packet Pickup – Sugar Lake Lodge, Main Building. Participants receive a shirt and water bottle.  
Saturday, July 9, 2022 6:00 am- Transition opens 6:30 am – 7:15 am Packet Pickup – Sugar Lake Lodge, Main Building. Participants receive a shirt and water bottle.7:30 am – Pre-race meeting, transition area 8:00 am – Olympic race, time trial start on beach. Participants self seed.
8:25 am – Sprint race, time trial start on beach. Participants self seed. 8:40 am – Super Sprint race, time trial start on beach. Participants self seed.
